Whether you have joined the club or are thinking of doing so please read on and you will see that there is much more to do than play bowls at our club.

My name is Anita Dixon and I am the Social Events Co-ordinator. Ian (my husband) and I joined the club relatively recently, but it certainly feel like we’ve known everyone for longer. We enjoy setting up events for people to enjoy themselves but we like others to help with running them. Everyone we have come across has always been willing to help if they can.

My belief is that a club cannot depend on one person to organise everything hence the reason for the “coordinator” in my title. If everyone helps a little, we all enjoy ourselves.

Bowls obviously is our main activity but as the season for the lawn bowls draws to a close the winter events take over and you will be welcomed to take part in a host of weekly activities that will help the winter months pass by more enjoyably.

There will also be one off events that will be advertised in advance. Many of these are fund raising events for club funds but the emphasise is always for us all to have fun and enjoy ourselves.

Looking forward to seeing you in and around the club.
Anita
